Ok, I class myself as an enthusiastic and relatively knowledgable runner. I am a keen 10K runner and like cross-country but appreciate that preparing for a marathon requires a bit more planning and training. Now, being a novice at the long distance thing - what golden nuggets of hard-won advice can be passed to me? Anything from how to diet, what to wear on the day and how to train more efficiently would be gratefully recieved.
